Kingsbury Episcopi Band

Notices from Thursday 5th Dec 2019

Due to some engineering issues, our CD will not be ready until early next year. David has said there are a few anomalies which will need sorting before it can be released. He is expecting this to be the end of January / early February. David has also mentioned that he would like to hold a launch party for band members, friends and family so that we are able to listen to the CD.

Shepton Beauchamp concert is on Friday 6th December. We will start playing at 7pm, so please be there for 6.30pm. Brian has asked that anyone who is local come a little earlier to help make sure everything is set up. Please make sure your music is in order, and that carol books are marked clearly to avoid spending too much time finding them, and prepare as much as possible so that set up time in the Church is minimal.

Langport Christmas Fair is on Saturday 7th December. Please arrive at 2.30pm for a 3pm start. We will be playing 3 slots (3pm-3.30pm, 4.15pm-4.45pm, 5.15pm-5.45pm). We have been asked to start our second set a little later than usual as there will be a lantern procession with children carrying wicker lanterns, and they will be ending near us with the lights. Hot drinks will be available in the breaks. Please wrap up warm!

“The band playing was exceptional this year, and many have commented on the really good mix of carols and popular music.

Once again, huge thanks for playing for us again.”

“Just a note to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all of you in the Band for the great event on Sunday. We thought that the Band was on absolutely ‘top form’ and excelled in all aspects of the music.”

Email from the organiser of the Kingsbury Episcopi Methodist Church carol concert held on Sunday 16th Dec 2018

“I just wanted to officially thank you all for the wonderful performance you put on for our Street Fair. It isn’t official yet but I believe this was our best year ever for fund raising. Thank you for being a part of that. I say it every year and every year I mean it, when I say Drayton Street Fair wouldn’t be the same without you. It’s the music that lends the day its particular vibrance, I believe.I hope you all enjoyed yourself and that we’ll see you again next year.”
