Kingsbury Episcopi Band

Notices from Thursday 13 June 2019

Get well soon wishes go out to all band members who were/are unwell – we wish you all a speedy recovery.

Brian announced that Mike Hall had finished editing the CD and that, in his opinion. it sounded really good. He would still like us to re-record Oregon and Spartacus as both of those pieces were not up to our usual standard, and perhaps also record The Water is Wide.

David proposed the weekend of 27/28 July ie, Saturday afternoon and evening for set-up and rehearsal, then recording all day Sunday. Unfortunately a number of players said they were unable to attend that weekend; David, Mike and Brian would liaise with Barrington Hall to find some alternative dates. However, band members were asked to pencil 27/28 July into their diaries, just in case.

Brian also asked that band members look at their parts in Oregon and Spartacus over the coming week.

Feedback

“The band playing was exceptional this year, and many have commented on the really good mix of carols and popular music.

Once again, huge thanks for playing for us again.”

“Just a note to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all of you in the Band for the great event on Sunday. We thought that the Band was on absolutely ‘top form’ and excelled in all aspects of the music.”

“I just wanted to officially thank you all for the wonderful performance you put on for our Street Fair. It isn’t official yet but I believe this was our best year ever for fund raising. Thank you for being a part of that. I say it every year and every year I mean it, when I say Drayton Street Fair wouldn’t be the same without you. It’s the music that lends the day its particular vibrance, I believe.I hope you all enjoyed yourself and that we’ll see you again next year.”
