We are a wind band, made up of brass and woodwind instruments, originating from the small village of Kingsbury Episcopi in South Somerset, although we rehearse weekly in nearby Langport. We exist for the pleasure and enjoyment of making music for ourselves and others. The band attends in excess of 30 functions each year, which includes fetes, concerts, weddings and other private functions, travelling as far afield as Taunton, Lyme Regis and Wellington.
The vast majority of these events are for charity fund-raising or celebration purposes such as our own Kingsbury May Festival and other local village fetes. Many of our engagements continue year on year.
Please feel free to contact us for enquiries and bookings.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, sadly all of our engagements are currently subject to change and cancellation. We are very much looking forward to getting back to playing together and sharing our music with you all.
“The band playing was exceptional this year, and many have commented on the really good mix of carols and popular music.
Once again, huge thanks for playing for us again.”

“Just a note to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all of you in the Band for the great event on Sunday. We thought that the Band was on absolutely ‘top form’ and excelled in all aspects of the music.”

“I just wanted to officially thank you all for the wonderful performance you put on for our Street Fair. It isn’t official yet but I believe this was our best year ever for fund raising. Thank you for being a part of that. I say it every year and every year I mean it, when I say Drayton Street Fair wouldn’t be the same without you. It’s the music that lends the day its particular vibrance, I believe.I hope you all enjoyed yourself and that we’ll see you again next year.”
Email from organiser, Louise Lee, following our performance on Saturday 1st Sep 2018
